Christian Hernandez Tello, LMSW
Clinical Therapist
I am a licensed social worker and a clinical therapist at Growing Minds. I am passionate about supporting children and their families through a collaborative and strengths-based approach. I tailor treatment to each child and family’s specific needs while employing evidence-based practices. I seek to foster a warm and trusting environment where children and their parents or caretakers can grow, succeed, and reach their goals. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in individual and group settings. I have experience with and have received training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy for Selective Mutism (PCIT-SM), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Sports Psychology.
Before starting graduate school, I attended film school, where I trained as a screenwriter, actor, director, and editor at the New York Film Academy. Outside of Growing Minds, I like to work on my screenplays and books, follow my favorite sports teams, coach youth sports, and maintain an active lifestyle by playing soccer and softball, and running.
