Questions about Summer Offerings
-
Summer intensives take place over the course of a week and provide a more concentrated level of behavioral support. Unlike weekly therapy sessions, which typically occur once per week, summer intensives offer a highly focused and targeted approach that helps patients address and work through anxiety more efficiently and effectively.
-
Intensive programs are a good fit for children who need to build skills quickly over a shorter period of time or those that experience higher degrees of anxiety that cause them to freeze or retreat. The intensive format minimizes warm-up time, so we can get right to working towards treatment goals.
-
Most intensive programs take place in person at our office on the Upper East Side. Virtual intensives can be offered on a case by case basis, depending on the treatment goals.

Both options offer the same thorough, individualized evaluation process, the difference is where it takes place. In-home evaluations provide convenience and can help children feel more at ease, while in-office settings provide a more structured environment. We’re happy to guide families in choosing what will work best.
